Seventeen: Seventeen was created by MetaWaddleDee and A RedBull Can. This map is compatible with every game, but recommended for asymmetric gametypes. Description: Seventeen was created for the Template Contest. It consists of a defending base, an attacking base, the banshee base, the center structure and cover in-between. There are Overshield and Active Camouflage structures with a few other structures that hold different equipment, and weapons. The Banshee only spawns in asymmetric gametypes, and the Spartan Laser spawns in Symmetric Gametypes. (overview) Red Base (Defenders) Red base consists of a shotgun, a Missile Pod, a Plasma Pistol, two plasma grenades, and two BRs. Vehicles with the exception of the mongoose, cannot enter the base, because of the columns in the front and back of the base. These columns are spaced out as to only allow the players to pass between them. The interlocking looks good and the geo merging is solid. Not many people give near as much effort on merging as you did in sandbox since it is more of a pain. The map overall looks good especially for the Template contest and good job on getting the DL link up. Kudos
Holy crap... never would have thought up such a map! The structures are truly original and inspiring. Your geomerging looks natural for the map, helps that part of the canvas is set in a hill. How much playtesting did you put into the map? All right, the banshee spawns in asymmetrical gametypes. That sounds fair. What is its respond time? Good enough for a download =D
I can't remember how many times you told me to help play test. I think after the many suggestions we've given to you, we've made the map a lot better. Still lots of things that I think could've been a bit better, like the blue side not looking like most of the objects should be there. Red side is great though, no complaints. Gameplay wise, I think the best was definitely one flag.
great looking map has good geo merging and interlocking from the first pic it looks kinda plain but when you scroll down the pics do not look anything less than awesome. I love all the unique structures and buildings they really give this map charater unfortunatally i only had room for one more map on my hd and i used it up with a differant map so no dl right now but i might next time i see it 5/5 from pics but it looks like it will play great to keep on forging and i think this map has a great shot at winning
I'm sorry but why did you place a grav lift on the teleporter? Other than that, this is the only aesthetic flaw I can see on the map. You could've done a lot of other things, but at least not have the grav lift show.
The Gravity lift on the teleporter is the only solution that allowed the Banshee to clear the gap between the two layers, never disrupt gameplay, and allow players to easily gain access to the top section. However we plan on updating the map to improve gameplay/aesthetics and we are open to any suggestions if you have any advice.
your merging made me cry... your name made me lul... that map made me J*zz in my pants. its scary how good things are interlocked and merged. ill try it out to morrow but first impression, it looks a little open. now zander has some more competition for winning.
No offence, but it looks like you have done a lot of geomerging and interlocking just for the sake of it rather than to improve the gameplay or to create unique structures. The Bridge is an obvious exception from this however and is very smooth.
Wow good map ! I love the merging you do on it and the fusion of the object ! The stone Platform In the floor are so cool ! But just a lite thing ... the red base looks better than the blue ! Because the red base have wall to be protect and the bleu just some wedge corner ! If you can Change that ! And good forge men ! 4.9/5 For The red better than blue !
Its great forging, but I just dont like it. It just doesnt look like it would....flow. Its quite open as well and I guess i wont know til i dl, but I probably wont
I know where you're both coming from, and let me give an example, In Last resort the defenders have a much larger base, and it's a pretty open level, but Last Resort plays very well.
How would the geomerging of the red or blue base affect the gameplay? Also, what interlocking was done just for the sake of it? Because most of the interlocking was done for the sake of grenades not being lost in the structure and so when you walk across it there isn't as big of a bump.
