I really like the MLG gametypes and maps to be honest. So, when i go into a game and I get called a ""bk"(the lamest insult I've ever heard) it really annoys the **** out of me. I may not be the bet player on earth but i love the competitiveness so I continue to play.The way I see it, playing it deffinantly makes you better so why not. It shouldn't bother the truely good players because they are in higher ranks anyways. I don't see why the people who are so good at it are even playing on their second accounts if they hate newbies so much.
i love MLG and usually play when im on Halo3. i hate when im playing and the game gets blamed on me when i was doing really good and they make bad decisions like on CTF pulling the flag at the wrong time. i know im not the best player but you have to take responsibility when you mess up and be like "that was my fault not you" but instead kids screw up and they are like "you suck you didnt help me kill him" when i was the way across the map or "It was your fault we didnt score the flag" when it was them that missed a dribble or something
No it isnt different, Im a pro Action Sack player. You know, I get payed by sponsors to play Action Sack with other pros. We are all pros at Sumo and cannot be beat at Team Splasers. I like MLG, Im only a 17 in it because I only play when im extremely bored (Im just plain bored with only BR games 100% of the time) but in those 10-15 games or so, It was pretty good. Although I do get annoyed with the people that have an undeserved sense of acomplishment that start bragging that they are a pro MLG team (after winning by like 2 kills), It was fun to play on really well forged maps and play incredibly competitive CTF.
I don't want to get this debate started over again, but that really happens 90% of the time at lower ranks. Phreakie and I started new accounts that we play MLG on and I think we're at 20-25 right now after a couple days of playing and we've been challenged to multiple 1v1's, 2v2's, and just called BK's. People are very immature when they don't play to win and I would know the comparison between lower and higher ranks. I don't mean that people at lower ranks are immature, but simply that when you're focused on playing the game (calling out) you're not going to be screaming at your teammates and challenging people to 1v1's/2v2's.
Its probably true that most of the immature and annoying people are at the low ranks, but in general- Immature people like this are everywhere on MLG and everywhere on Halo. Ive played Social games with a team of people that were 40s in MLG and they were just as I described (they went off bragging about their team and saying MLG is for pros at Halo only, yelled "BK"(Burger King =P), etc...) and they were high ranked. You see it everywhere- although it may be more common at lower ranks, it still happens.
I think I'm veryyyy guilty of being one of those "immature players" occasionally. lol. But yeah, the playlist is only retarded at low levels. Get to the 40's and it should be smooth sailing from there. The only thing I really hate about the playlist is the low ranks where people have no mics or are in Party chats. Other than that, I love a good argument of constant repitition of the acrnym "BK." But thats just me.
Ya I'm always finding little kids that think they're cool and wanna swear and scream.. I remember before in mlg when you didnt have boosters, whiners, people who threaten to hack your account, and stuff like that. but the mute button is great!
