The Grounds By, ShortkidPenaDownload Overview:The Grounds is a medium sized asymmetrical map that can be used for almost any gametype. The map itself plays around one central building with basically two levels-the lower level and the roof. The building also has some sweet windows looking to the outer ring. Also, the map has an outer ring that is similar to the way Rats Nest has an outer ring. There is one centrally located ghost along with two mongeese, one on each side. There are two areas that i'll be talking about, the blue side and the red side. Also, located in the lower level of the building is the rocket launcher. The Ghost is easily overpowered by the Rocket Launcher and can also be jacked fairly easily by each team. Both sides take the same amount of time to get to the rocket. Along with the rocket, the only other power weapons are two shotguns and a sniper. The shotguns are located at each base next to the mongeese. There are multiple ways in and out of the main building, the roof and the ground. The roof there are two ramps that lead to the roof mainly accessible by the blue side. For the red side, on the other hand, there is a little bridge over the ring around the map from where you can jump to three columns sticking out of the side of the building. For the lower area, there is a bridge on the blue side that is made of fins that connects the ring surrounding the map to it. Also, beneath the red light there is a large entrance and where the ghost spawns is an open area to play. The top level also holds the overshield and the sniper. You must jump on the little blocks to grab it. Almost all gametypes work, but my favorite would have to be king of the hill. King of the Hill with like ten people gets really chaotic and fun. I also enjoy FFA and CTF a lot. The map is set up for everything though. your forging skills look phenominal, but im not going to lie. this kind of map just isn't my cup of tea. And maybe its just me but it seems like this isn't the best map for a ghost or mongoose? other than that the map looks really good. i love maps that have those slit walls used as windows. good for sniping. what is that bridge in picture six made out of? i cant tell
This map looks excellent; the merging looks flawless, the design is interesting and the flow looks like it will be exciting. I have to ask about the weapons, though... the last picture there seems to be quite a lot of weapons + equipment. Is this just a high-traffic area, or is this uniform on the map? Beside that one issue, I see nothing to complain about with this map. Excellent job!
Incredible; Flawless architecture and merging, creative and original flow of both players and vehicles, and all tied up in the lofty bounds of the Sky Bubble. While there might be a little deficiency of cover in places, or compartmentalization of vehicles, I'm not worried. Overall: I'm astounded. -=Moxus=-

This map looks really cool, i would have never thought to use the fin's as a bridge. I have to agree with the others though i don't know if this is the best map for a ghost and mongoose. But still its very clean and the geometry is amazing.
AH, Wow.... I remember helping you with a ramp back in this map when it was just started. ANd I would have to say it came a long way! Like many i would question the ghost, but thats about it. Just a question, what gametypes would you reccomend for a 2v2 competitive match? D4VY JON3S

Looks great perfect merging, but is their one ghost or two? Vehicle wise it looks like it would play similar to orbital when the ghost spawns asymetricly. Great map!
The whole layout and design is phenomenal without question. Vehicle wise mmmm not so much. A ghost or any vehicle in any sky box map is a seriously huge no no. Mongoose is bad but not awful but a ghost? I have to give you a 5/5 because its so freaking nice. Just tweak the vehicles and weapons.
