Created By: rusty eagle Recommend Players: 1v1 Recommend Gametype: Conflict Forge Hub 1v1 Conflict - Round 3 (Winners Bracket) Impound is an asymmetrical crypt map with a rather symmetrical feel. The map is lit a dim blue, to convey the emptiness of this long abandoned parking garage. Two mediums height sides connect to a higher central bridge, creating a hill-like circular flow on the upper walkways of the map. The lower floor is a catacomb of rooms and pillars, with access to the higher floors in each corner, along with two central access points along each side. Impound is home to a unique and well rounded weapon layout. From close range killers such as the Gravity Hammer and SMG, to the medium range Brute Shot, and the king of long range, the Sniper, Impound has got a weapon that any player is familiar with. Though you may prefer stalking the underground, or holding the high bridge, you shouldn't let your eyes adjust to the darkness. One of the more original equipment choices of the tournament maps, the flare fits nicely into Impounds diverse weapon choices. The most important tool on Impound though, is a steady aim. I was hoping rusty would make a triumphant return in the tournament. Congrats,even thought Im not in the tourney im sure Ill play on this alot.
Third! Nice a warthog...Does the Conflict Variant allow people to drive vehicles. I would love to go on a splatter fest. Just kidding, if I was in the tournament that would make me loose. Edit: Played the map, it's beautiful! Plus, its unbreakable. The only minor issues I could find is the ceiling isn't interlocked. Not a biggie...
Looks like a great map and well deserving of a feature! I love the atmosphere of this map and the walkways are great! Looks super smooth. I like!
Looks amazing... but, why is there a warthog? Aesthetics? The Loser's Bracket map looks awesome too. DL'ing both.
I said i'd edit my other post but oh well this map deserves two. It flows so amazingly i love the cave in parts too. The lift is perfect overall this is one of the most impressive maps iv seen, and like others im not in the tourney but i will be playing this a ton.
this looks to be a very good 1v1 map. I really like this torunament because so many great 1v1 maps are being made. A warthog though? either thats aesthetic or a not accurate picture but thats completley pointless in 1v1 map. Eh i dont know though so im gonna download it and check it out tommorow. also are all the features for a while going to be the tournament maps? dont get me wrong they deserve a feature, but other less known forgers need to get there chance.
Wow I guess 3 is the lucky number because this map is really impressive! I love the layout and idea you guys used in this masterpiece. I didnt see any flaws in this so I cant give this any constructive, but what I can give this is a 5/5. Excellent work!
I have to say I've play a few matches on Impound and what other way to emphasize the theme better than with a warthog. Although not drivable the Warthog can be used for cover and hehehehe another thing, but I'm not going to say, cause then I may give away one of my strategies for this map.
Lesser known forgers need to make some featurable maps than. So far, there hasn't been anything too impressive lately. We have a few maps lined up for write ups though.
To transactionzero, i think im aware of your ever use, however it would not work if i was in the tourny against you. hte map looks stunning, as did the rest of the tournement maps from the last ones. for some reason, it looks as if the maps have better quality because they are forged for the specific reason of 1v1ness. ill play when i get back tomorrownight.

This looks like the most amazing Conflict map by far Rusty Eagle. Great job on Impound! It'll be interesting to throw a warthog into the mix, although it seems it would only be good for getting away... And the loser's bracket map looks just as interesting. I might even download that just to take a quick look at it. Edit: Oh my, I never thought of the gametype when I saw the warthog. Of course it's not driveable... Hehe. How silly of me!
Yet another feature for Rusty! Yay! This really deserves it, I have played quite a few matches on it, I thought the hog worked, I'm like wtf?!? Yet it was a very nice Aesthetic piece, I love this map, it's greatly forged, and it has a lot great points, and game play is impeccable. Through all the testing Staff has point in to these maps they have to be great!
Wow, Another two amazing maps made for the Contest. Although I haven't entered the contest (wish I did) These two maps will have a place in my hard drive for quite a while. Great job Rusty Eagle and Textured Sun.
Just had a walk around on impound and its very impressive, great forging and I love the layout. This map could have easily been made by bungie and wouldn't look out of place in another FPS, congrats to rusty eagle for a superb map.
Congrats on such an amazing map, rusty. Congrats on the feature too. Well, thank God it's much easier to test a 1v1 map because you only have to invite one player. I will get a game on this this weekend and see how it plays. Great job.
