Beaver Gulch Slayer CTF 4-6 players _________________________________________________ As the name suggests, Beaver Gulch is loosely based on both Blood Gulch and Beaver Creek. Each base placed in a corner of the Crypt. the wall to the right has a path cut into it, which goes behind the large rock, taken from Beaver Creek. the wall to the left is hollow, and players can enter through multiple doors. The map is very small, and has not yet been tested much. small parties (2v2 - 3v3) are recommended, and the current version is only set up for Slayer and CTF. _______________________________________ Weapon Layout Battle Rifle - 3 - 10 seconds - 2 clips Carbine - 3 - 10 seconds - 2 clips Rocket Launcher - 1 - 150 seconds - 1 clip Sniper Rifle - 1 - 120 seconds - 1 clip Magnum - 2 - 10 seconds - 2 clips SMG - 3 -20 seconds - 2 clips Plasma Rifle - 3 - 20 seconds Equipment Plasma Grenades - 6 - 60 seconds Regenerator -1 - 90 seconds Power Drain - 1 - 90 seconds Active Camo - 1 - 180 Seconds ________________________________ Red Base Canyon Wall Blue Base Caves Caves: Interior Spoiler Download Beaver Gulch
wow this map looks really nice a combo of the two best halo 1 and 2 mp maps it looks like it would play more like beaver creek due to being smaller but still has the addition of the caves and more open areas this looks to play very well. the forging in it is great and smooth i like how you made the two bases although ithe stacked blue columns on the blue base does not look natural in my opinion idk why it looks kinda wierd in my opinion but still the bases looks nice. I will add this to my dl list great work 5/5 on asthetics idk how it plays yet but will find out soon
It does feel much more like Beaver Creek due to it's small size. When i played Halo (before i had XBL) my siblings and i played split screen slayer a lot. One of our favorite maps was BG. I tried to incorporate some feelings from BG (such as paths on the Gulch walls, Caves, and the openess of the center of the map) into a Beaver Creek like enviornent. It looks like i did a good job, but i havent played it much. Any feedback at all that you have after playing would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
This map looks AWESOMESAUCE! I'm definately going to download it, even if it is a remake of older maps it looks amazing! definate download. I especially like the bases looks and the canyon walls and caves, so basically i like all of it
Though I'm not a big fan of slayer or team slayer, this map should bring back some memories. Blood gulch and beaver creek were my favorite maps to do split screen slayer on when I was at a friend's house. One thing that i remember on beaver creek was that there was a river. At the end of the river was an over shield. What would be really cool is if you made some sort of hill up against a wall. Then have part of it cut out for a river. It then would go down to ground level and continue flowing until the other wall. There could be some sort of arch there and an over shield, or camo, or custom powerup undr it. You could simply use a a long line of small curving ramps to lead up to the river. I know this is obvious but just in case, use shield doors for the river. I think that would make a great addition to the map. (Did any of that make sese to you?)
Wow, this looks like a good map. Two classic halo maps in one. It looks like each one is well represented aesthetically but also during gameplay. I'm gonna DL and I'll get back to you.
Nice job! But personally I think you should probably take a few hints from Bloody Riviera. That map was sweet, and I was wondering if you downloaded it to look for tips on how to make a blood gulch map. P.S. Everyone knows that Beaver Creek allowed Base to Base teleportation! Why not in this?!
There are a few reasons for not including teleporters, but it really comes down to gameplay. The first reason is that this map is small. There is no need for faster transportation. The second reason is that this only works for CTF and Slayer. Adding a teleporter to the back of each base would make that play very boringly. Walk through teleporter, walk up ramp at back of base, fall into base, grab flag, walk back to teleporter, score flag, repeat. The final reason is that this is not a remake of BC. It is just based off that map. I wanted to make it feel original.
