I have completed my map in the crypt part of sandbox, but i'm having a hard time getting a good bird eye's view screenshot of the map (so I can label where weapons/powerups/etc. are located). Anyone have useful advice for me?
Being in the bottom of the tube of the top of the crypt isn't enough? You could try going outside the map and looking in from the top. To get outside make it so an immovable object spawns on top of you so it pushes you under the map then turn into forge mode and end the game. Then go into theater and once you get outside the map, pause it and detach the camera then you can take some pics.
Yeah what xylom said, it usually works if the tube doesn't. Also how much of the crypt does it take up? I ask because you can't get a truely top down view, its always angled a little bit, just so you know.
Doing what Xylom said really isn't that difficult. Just spawn a Double Block... set it to spawn at start NO and a 20 sec respawn time. Start a new round. Go stand on the place where you spawned the double block and wait for it to respawn. When it does, move around a little and then when you see the underside of the map, go in to Forge. You should be able to fly freely anywhere around the Crypt.
Yeah, it's kinda angled, but I was just thinking of outlining it with a program (like paint.net or mspaint). Also, when i first tried to glitch, I was stupid and went up the tube and glitched thru the floor of the main area of Sandbox. I at first wondered if I did something wrong, then I figured out that I needed to do it on the crypt roof. I did get the shot I wanted (even though there's a little outline of the tube), so thank you very much. But i'm not going to show the picture of it yet cause I want to keep it a secret for now =).
